DESCRIPTION:Join us in The Gambia for your DofE Gold Residential – working in and supporting one of our schools. \nYou will live and work in the community the school serves. DESCRIPTION:Why not join Lisa Kent Trust in The Gambia for a seven to ten day Residential where you will be able to working in our schools and live in the rural communities they serve. \nThe participants will experience a lifechanging journey\, gaining an understanding of the lives\, culture & hardships faced by children and their families in this very poor third world country. \nYou will mostly likely come away from this experience with lifelong friendships\, not only with your fellow volunteers\, but also from local students. \nWe have found many of our past volunteers regularly keep in touch with people within our Gambian communities and they support each other with various aspects of their education or studies. \nOne of the Lisa Kent Trust trustees meets you at Banjul International Airport and a UK Trustees will be present throughout your stay ensuring your well being & helping you develop your skills & understanding of this fascinating environment. \nPlease note flight is not included\, as we are not able to book these on your behalf – Flight Booking with Gambia Experience recommended. \nWe will be running various Residential/Voluntourism stays throughout the first three months of 2025\, so please contact us to discuss best dates suited to your studies/work.
