DESCRIPTION:This most ancient of charity treks takes us from Lanercost Priory to Brocolitia\, encompassing some of the most visited and fascinating ruins. \nHadrian’s Wall was built in AD122 on the orders of the Roman Emperor Hadrian\, and stretched from the East to West coasts of Britain\, from Bowness on Solway in the West to Wallsend in the East. It is the most remarkable Roman monument in the country and quite unique throughout the former Empire. Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site which cuts through Northumberland National Park\, Hadrian’s Wall attracts trekkers from all over as it offers great challenging walks\, filled with a stunning backdrop and history. DESCRIPTION:Join our team and ride London to Paris for a truly inspirational experience; you’ll make friends for life\, push yourself beyond your limits but most of all make memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime.\nOur London to Paris Bike Ride is an awesome cycling challenge and is by far one of the best fundraising events in Europe\, attracting hundreds of riders each year and raising thousands for charities nationwide. \nWe’ll spend 4 days in the saddle\, cycling 308 miles from capital to capital. Our journey begins in London with the route taking us through glorious English countryside as we cycle from Kent to Dover\, before crossing the Channel to Calais. Once across the water\, we start cycling ‘French style’\, remembering to keep to the right!  We cycle along quiet French country lanes\, through traditional market towns with views of the rolling green hills of Northern France\, passing the war memorials and cemeteries of the Somme. \nA spectacular finish awaits us as we reach the home stretch up the Champs Elysées to the Arc de Triomphe\, before reaching the piece de resistance\, the Eiffel Tower\, which marks our finish line. DESCRIPTION:https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/catherinescott1 \n \nWill and I have decided that its a great idea to experience terminal velocity and jump from a plane at 15\,000 ft for two charities very close to our hearts.\nIn 2013 my life fell apart in many ways as a result I was suffering greatly from depression I was given an opportunity to volunteer in The Gambia for 6 months teaching nursery children with The Lisa Kent Trust\,\nWill joined me on the smiling coast for the first time in 2016 and saw for himself the great work The LKT do. These very humbling experiences have made us redefine our ideas of how lucky we are in this country to have an education and health care available. Every penny does make a massive difference to The children the trust support.\nIn 2016 I lost my nanna\, she was a truly amazing person and would do anything for anyone\, she struggled daily to control her diabetes. It hurt seeing my nan struggle so much and play a part in us saying a final good night\, my dream is that more people can benefit from the support of Diabetes UK and manage their condition a lot easier.\n​
