Congratulations to Ben Tinkler racing the Lisa Kent Trust liveried Van Diemen RF 80 formula ford in the Brands Hatch Superprix.
Classic FF was race seven on the 10th July, starting on the third row of the grid in damp conditions which caused some of the backmarkers to leave the circuit resulted in the race being red flagged after only 2 laps with the LKT Van Diemen in third.
With 12 minutes remaining Ben restarted in 6th, back in original grid position, moving up to 3rd on the the first lap and he then ran a lonely race with Jackson pulling away from Ben & Chart.
On the Sunday the Classic FF were out on Race 18. Ben starting from third, he had secured second place behind Chart following Cam Jackson taking to the gravel as a trail of oil was left on the circuit. Resulting in the race being stopped to recover cars and clear oil.
The restart was on previous lap position putting Jackson, now recovered from gravel, back in pole & Ben in 4th behind Chart & Harrison.
With 9 minutes remaining he fought his way past Harrison to take third & on final lap moved into second place behind Jackson.
Great result as first outing of the VD RF80 this season, a third & second overall & 1st in class in last race.
