Rainy Season at Lisa Kent Trust Meridian in The Gambia

The rainy season is in full swing in The Gambia. Lisa Kent Trust Students and teachers struggle to school in the heavy rains.

This academic year the terms have been much longer to compensate for time lost due to the Covid closures in 2020.  LKT Meridian would normally have broken up for the summer holidays in the middle of July. Term now ends in the middle of August.

Whilst many other schools in the Gambia are having to operate a weekly student rota system with only 3 days at school, and the second group sits in for the next 3 days, Lisa Kent Trust due to our class sizes have been able to continue with 5 days of education each week. With our high quality teachers, we hope this will ensure our students are able to achieve their potential & be back on track with their education.
